In 2021, Indonesia exported about 455 million tons of coal, making it the world’s largest coal exporter by weight. China was the leading destination for coal exports from Indonesia, followed by India and the Philippines
PALM KERNEL SHELL's (PKS)
Palm oil shells (or Palm Kernel Shell) are waste products from palm oil mills. Oil palm shells are very suitable for use as biomass fuel. Because palm shells are materials that contain lignocellulose with high carbon content.
Palm shells also have higher specific gravity than wood which reaches 1.4 g/ml. Characteristics of palm shells have a fairly high heat energy, which is equal to 20,100 kJ/Kg. Moisture content in oil palm shells is low compared to other biomass residues with different sources showing values between 15% and 20%.
